I’m Kathinka and I believe a guide should not just bring in-depth knowledge to a tour but also enthusiasm, humor, and lots of love for this wonderful and sometimes slightly crazy city of ours.

I am German, bilingual in both German and English, and have lived in a dozen cities in several countries. I have made Berlin my permanent home since 2002 and I’ve been a licensed guide since 2013. I guide my guests in almost all areas of Berlin and Potsdam – a real gem of a town that is far too often overlooked by the busy traveller.

My tours include all the main sights and topics, plus much more. In addition to Historic Berlin and the Berlin Wall, I do tours about the Roaring Twenties, Jewish Berlin, Alternative Berlin, famous Berlin women and (in December) Christmas markets. I also do tailor-made individual tours to and from anywhere in the city.

Berlin’s rich history and vibrant contrasts make it a city like no other. There are so many interesting stories to tell and exciting areas to explore. I show the city I love and I make sure that my clients have what Berliners are so very good at having – a really great time!
