I am an original ‘Berlin Eyewitness’.

Born in 1968 in East Berlin, I spent 20 years behind the Wall, locked up in the GDR (East Germany). In 1984, I began training as an acrobat at the Artist School in East Berlin. Four years later, I had the rare opportunity to participate with a young acrobatic group in an international circus festival in Paris. Four young acrobatic colleagues and I escaped in an adventurous way on our last night in Paris, drawn to West Berlin on the other side of the infamous Wall. And so after spending my youth in East Berlin, I got to know the “old” West Berlin. Until the ‘Fall of the Wall’ in November, 1989.

For 35 years, I toured with the LaMetta acrobatic group  throughout Europe. But my great love for Berlin has always let me follow the developments and facets of this city with great attention. My interest in this city’s exciting history finally gave me the idea to present my knowledge to interested visitors to Berlin. And so it was that in 2010 I started to guide tourists through the city I have come to know so well.

If you feel like contacting me, I will respond to your wishes and questions individually and arrange a tailor-made tour for you — a personally guided insider tour to make something truly unique of your visit to Berlin.
