Anja has been working as a museum guide for various museums in South and West Germany since 2005. She has lived permanently in Berlin since 2014 and works here as a museum and city guide. In 2022 Anja joined the BBS and since 2023 she has been a member of the board and responsible for planning the excursions.

Jörg Schöpfel — Partnerships Coordinator
Jörg is currently the Partnerships Coordinator for the Berlin Guides Association. He was born and raised in Hessen, near Frankfurt, but came to Berlin in 1988 at the age of 21. The city fascinated him from the start - a place full of scars, contradictions, and wildly creative people. The Wall fell a year later, but Jörg stayed and earned a Master's degree in geography and tourism. He has worked many jobs, from geo-engineer to bartender to actor, before settling into the tourism industry. He ran a top-rated, cozy hotel from 2004 to 2022, while also starting to work as a tour guide, which is what he most loves to do.
