I’m Brendan and I’m Irish. I first visited Berlin in 2006 and, two years later, I had moved here.
I am a writer as well as a tour guide and I have three published novels, based in the city’s Weimar era.
My Isherwood’s Neighbourhood tour of 1920’s Berlin has been running for 15 years and is a consistent Traveller’s Choice winner on Trip Advisor.
In 2022, I decided to expand my horizons and explore the wider history of Berlin. It has been an extraordinary journey of discovery and I love to share this with guests.
I regularly work for Berlin On Bike and Original Berlin Walks. I really enjoy the differences biking and walking can offer as a way of exploring the city.
I am fascinated by the layers of history that has made the city what it is today and that it is such an open and welcoming place to live and work.
