I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, but after finishing my BA in History at UC Berkeley in 2012 I decided to go on a backpacking trip through Europe. Eventually, I landed in Berlin and have been here ever since.
For many years I worked as a freelance historical guide while completing an MA in History at Berlin's Humboldt University. My areas of focus at university included Medieval History, East German perceptions of history and European Jewish History. Currently I am responsible for education and outreach at the New Synagogue -- Centrum Judaicum Museum Foundation on Oranienburger Strasse, where I also design and lead seminars, tours, and workshops for our visitors.
