I’m a licensed tour guide with over ten years’ experience telling the uniquely compelling and endlessly varied story of Berlin. From bespoke private tours to larger group and corporate excursions, I have guided countless people from all around the world through this city's gripping past.
Originally from Ireland, I first fell for Berlin and its history on a holiday in 2010. One visit became another, and before long I had packed my bags and come here to study for a master's degree in Cultural Theory and History at Humboldt University, an experience which was invaluable in helping me research, uncover and retell some of Berlin's most fascinating tales as a guide.
Tours aside, I also gained experience in international diplomacy working here for the Irish Embassy in Germany, which deepened my particular interest in Berlin as a city at the heart of European and international affairs in the modern period. This place has repeatedly proven itself to be a singularly dramatic historical arena, and I particularly enjoy exploring the broad sweep of geopolitical developments alongside the more personal and human stories of Berliners that bring it all to life.
I offer tours in both English and German and am happy to tailor each experience to your interests and curiosity. Whether you’re a first-time visitor, a history enthusiast or simply someone who enjoys a good story, I’ll do my best to make sure you leave Berlin knowing a little more than you did before.
