Campbell Bews

Hi, I’m Campbell. I first encountered Berlin in 2014, when a chance holiday took me here. I was planning to tour the rest of Germany, but instead decided to just explore Berlin, and to this day I’m still at it!

I studied history and politics at Monash University (BA) and Global Studies (MA) at Humboldt university in Berlin. My studies have been focused on two things: exploring the lost worlds of the past, and the lessons we can draw from them. Fortunately Berlin has a lot of subject matter to draw on, both with its outsized impact on the world and the way it has memorialised and dealt with its past.

If you book a tour with me, you can expect a journey. From the old world of the Prussian architecture, we the can go through Weimar cosmopolitism, descend into the degenerate Third Reich, or slink through Berlin during the Cold War, when it was the capital of spies. Or if you’d prefer see Berlin over a cold beer, we can arrange that too.

I look forward to meeting you and sharing a Berlin adventure.
