Greetings, traveler — Berlin is a city of stories, and I’m glad you’re thinking of writing your next chapter here.

My name is Juan, I was born in Uruguay in 1995, a country with fewer inhabitants than the city you are about to visit. My journey in Berlin began in 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic, as a part of an academic exchange. A close friend hosted me during those first challenging months, and even though the world felt uncertain, I couldn’t help but fall in love with this city — with its history, its energy, and its diversity. Since then, Berlin has become my home, my friends here have become part of my family, and guiding visitors through this incredible place has become my greatest joy.

After studying International Affairs in Montevideo, Uruguay, I was awarded a Konrad Adenauer Stiftung scholarship to complete my Master’s in National and International Administration and Policy at Universität Potsdam. I then moved into Berlin’s vibrant Turkish neighborhood, which gave me a unique perspective on culture, politics, and community. On my tours, I use my formation and personal experience to guide groups through the complexities of history and geopolitics, encouraging participants to see how old patterns still echo in the present.

I offer tours that explore Berlin’s iconic landmarks as well as in-depth experiences focused on the Third Reich, the Cold War, the city’s graffiti and alternative multicultural neighbourhoods, and visits to the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp Memorial and Museum. We can also create a multi-day, personalized experience — just tell me what you’re interested in, and I’ll show you how Berlin has a story to match it.

Rather than tell you about the agencies I’ve worked for, I’d love for you to hear directly from the people who’ve joined my tours. Here’s a collection of over 1,600 unfiltered reviews. I can’t wait for your experience to become my next glowing review.
