My name is Rikki, a Belgian guide based in Berlin.

From a young age, I have been drawn to the stories behind history, not just what happened, but how it felt to live through it. This curiosity led me to study History in Antwerp, and I began working as a guide for Doggy Bag Tours GmbH in 2022. I aim to make history vivid, human, and engaging, whether we are standing at a major landmark or a quiet corner most people would otherwise pass by.

Berlin is the perfect place for this; a city where the past is not confined to books, but woven into streets, buildings, and everyday life.

My expertise lies in the 20th century, a time that shaped Berlin in profound and often dramatic ways. What fascinates me most are the social and communal reactions to these events, how people adapted, resisted, believed, or simply tried to survive. On my tours, I explore these perspectives and invite guests to reflect.

Alongside my work as a guide, I am the COO of Doggy Bag Tours, where I help create memorable experiences, private itineraries and themed-based tours  for visitors of Berlin.
