Originally from Melbourne, Australia, I first came to Berlin in 2022 on a holiday tour of Europe’s most famous buildings. I quickly fell head over heels for the city with all its contradictions, layers of history, and the way the architecture tells its story. Back in Australia, I made a plan to return, and in 2023, I moved to Berlin for good.
As a trained architect and urban designer, what fascinated me most about Berlin was the intersection of history and design. Here, the past isn’t hidden — it’s written in the buildings. You can trace the ambitions of empires in the architecture they commissioned and follow the path of the Battle of Berlin in the scars still visible today. I specialise in architecture tours that help visitors read the city in this way, exploring the stories through the architecture.
Alongside architecture tours, I also offer general history walks and day trips to Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp and Potsdam. My goal is to help visitors discover a new way of seeing and understanding Berlin, and hopefully to carry this new perspective to every other city they visit.
Before moving to Berlin, I worked as an academic tutor at the University of Melbourne. Teaching is something I’ve always loved, and I welcome visitors of all ages on my tours. I’ve created several family-friendly walking tours and treasure hunts designed to keep everyone engaged, whether you’re 8 or 80. Berlin’s history is complex, sometimes difficult, but always worth exploring, and I’m passionate about making it accessible, thought-provoking, and even fun.
